Oh, how I used to love those little survey e-mails that my friends and I would pass around in junior high. (So much, in fact, that my maid of honor managed to use one of them in her toast at my wedding!) After I saw Tina and Chelsey post this one last week, I couldn’t resist.

1. What is one of your favorite ways to spend a Saturday?

I usually save my ultimate lazy day of the weekend for Sunday, so my favorite way to spend a Saturday would have to be a good workout, like a long run or ballet class, and then quality time with family or friends.

2. List your top three favorite TV shows.

  • Parenthood
  • 30 Rock
  • How I Met Your Mother

3. Would you rather be in pictures or take them?

Both! How else would I get quality photos like this?

Awwww. Finn Oliver and me. :) Love this little one.

4. Why do you blog?

I blog because it makes me oh-so-happy. I love the connections I’ve made with other people and the opportunity to share my life with ulcerative colitis. You can read my mission here.

5. Share five websites that you visit daily.

  • Gmail
  • Google Reader
  • Facebook
  • Hootsuite (Twitter)
  • Pinterest

6. If you could have lunch with one person from your Twitter list, who would it be?

The beautiful Megan of @GYGIG. I finally met her this past weekend and she’s just as wonderful as I thought she’d be!

7. List a few of your favorite snacks.

  • Anything with peanut butter
  • Smoothies
  • Luna bars

8. Do you have a pet? If so, what kind?

Oh yes. My little pain in the butt dog, Brady. He’s the cutest, and he’s lucky he’s so cute. He is a collie/chau mix, we think. The shelter said he has some lab, but the vet doesn’t see it and neither do we. When we adopted him, his name was Bacardi, but we thought that was pretty lame and promptly changed it.

9.Which three material possessions would you struggle to live without?

  • laptop
  • cell phone
  • Nook

10. What’s your favorite drink?

Diet Coke. I can’t help myself.

11. Do you enjoy cooking?

Not as much as I enjoy baking. And I hate cleaning up the kitchen after cooking. Hate.

12. Do you have children?

Not yet. Just the pup.

13. What are your favorite hobbies?

  • blogging
  • running/triathlon
  • reading
  • writing other side projects

14. Would you consider yourself to be shy or outgoing?

Outgoing and goofy, for sure.

Yes, I make faces like this in public.

15. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would you change?

My insecurities. They tend to drive me into worried frenzies, which leads to stress. I’m working on it.

16. Who is your favorite actor/actress?

Tom Hanks. I absolutely adore him.

17. What’s the coolest thing you’ve done this week?

I started my new job at CCFA!

18. Do you live near your family or far from them?

Very near. In fact, almost all of my extended family is very close, too.

Love them. Just a 10k away. (Yes, I've run there before.)

19. List three of your talents.

  • I’m good at making connections with other people — I get this from my dad, who can always find something to talk about with people he’s just met.
  • I’m brilliant at making crazy faces. Please see many of the photos on this blog for proof.
  • I like to think I’m a good writer — at the very least, an honest one. (Here’s hoping, because I’m working on a few projects that rely on this.)

20. What’s your greatest attribute?

My positive attitude. It gets me through a lot.
